About Dharma Roads

Dharma Roads is an independent, free travel guide that helps Bangla and English speakers plan visits to the sacred places of Buddhism.

What we do

• Bring together Buddhist sites in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Southeast and East Asia: why to go, when to go and how to get there.
• Summarise visa and permit rules for each country, with links to the official sources.
• Show rough costs in taka, rupees and dollars so budgeting is easier.
• Offer a free planner: pick sites, order them, set dates, compare and check your packing list.

Where the information comes from

Site information is compiled from UNESCO, national tourism and archaeology departments, and general travel experience. Visa notes link to each government's official website. Photos are by Wikimedia Commons contributors, credited with their licences.

Rules and fees change often. Always confirm with official sources before you travel. If you spot a mistake, please tell us and we will fix it.
